Week 2 Competition Results

Here are the results for the second week of our "Notes In The Fast Lane Competition."  1st place - Amelia - 40 seconds; 2nd place - John - 41 seconds; 3rd place - Sophia - 42 seconds; 4th place - Abby - 51 seconds.  Great Job Everybody!!!!!  Keep practicing!!!

Notes in the Fast Lane Competition

We started our competition this week. This year will be a very close race. Our weekly results are: 1st Place - Amelia - 41 seconds; 2nd Place - Abby - 44 seconds; 3rd Place - Sophia - 45 seconds; 4th Place - John - 49 seconds. Congratulations to Amelia for her 1st place this week. Check back next week for our week 2 standings.

New Student

We are so excited to have a new student, Cameron! She will be starting lessons on Tuesday!

Summer Lessons!

I am posting a preliminary outline of the summer piano lessons. I am very excited to offer a different approach to our summer lessons this year!!! My plans are to provide several group lessons during the summer. These group lessons will replace the weekly individual lessons for the summer. My current lessons plans include Theory, Rhythm, Music Reading, and Dynamics. I may add another 1-2 categories. There will be more information available in the next few weeks!

Reading Music!!!

Almost every student has been working with me each week to increase our fluency in reading music. We have been using flashcards and our board to work each week. I have started timing everyone to help increase our speed. Beginning in March, we will launch our "Notes In The Fastlane Competition." I will post our weekly results so check back soon!
